For those who are/are not farmilliar with Call of duty 4. they have an online game mode that is called "Sabotage" There are two teams. and a 20 min, time limit. the bomb is in the center of the map, or playing field, and there are two explosive bases on each end of the field. one team defends A, and the other team defends B. When a team picks up the bomb they have to get to the other base, arm the bomb, and wait for a set time limit before the device explode. Now when the bomb is planted, the defending team can defuse the bomb, and has as many chances to get the bomb to the other base and try to do the same thing, without loosing possession of the bomb. when you are carrying the bomb, and shot, you drop it and go to the re spawn. the way to arm the bomb will be placing it inside of the base, and the way to disarm the bomb is to take the rag out of the good old foldgers can that we use. when we do that, we place the rag back inside, and have a go at the other base. it could last a few minuets, or it could last the whole twenty.

Usually the detonation time is: 30 seconds.
round time length: 20 mins.
Re spawn time: every 3 minuets
Of course we would need a large group of people to make the game more worthwhile, but i never recalled us playing anything like this, so I figured what the heck.
Be sure to chip in rules or anything that I may have forgotten for those of us who are familiar with the game.

Interesting idea. Seems kind of like the fort-to-fort games we play except there's only one bomb. Not sure how well it would transfer from CoD to paintball though. 20 minutes is a low time limit for a paintball game, especially if it's a respawn game. It could easily take 20 minutes for someone to just get to the bomb with two full teams competing for it. Also, diffusing wouldn't really work since the team that gets bomb in the other base has usually eliminated most of their opponents anyways. Even with respawns, it would take much longer than 30 seconds for anyone to gather their team, make their way all the way back to base and take the bomb back from the opposing team.

thats a good point. so it would probobly be an hour long game or something like that. and your right. but still it could be a fun thing to try if we get the time and manpower to manage the thing no?

i love thios idea but i think it should be like a hour or a hour and a half game and afterthat hour or hour and a half there is no respawns just liek in cod

Oh wow - don't add in things that late... It's bad enough with people never remembering 'kill shots only' for a 1/2 hour ~ I can't imagine the chaos if you go no respawning after an 1 to 1-1/2 hours...

This game sounds like it could be a fun theme for one of the all day scenarios mentioned a few topics ago
